PAINTING PROJECT
A little structure. A lot more clarity.
Your work has a rhythm. HandyQuext brings project management and project safety into that rhythm: plan the job, record what needs attention, follow up, and share a considered customer update.
Start a painting or remodeling project. Make the milestones and tasks your own, so the checklist reflects the work you actually do.
In the local iPad development buildPlan pre-work checklists, record jobsite observations, and assign corrective or safety follow-up tasks alongside the work. Keep the review visible as the job changes.
Dedicated safety workflow plannedCapture job photos and private notes on iPad. Planned safety records add hazard observations and incident or near-miss reports to the contractor’s private workspace.
Notes/photos in local build; safety records plannedPreview what’s done, what’s next, and any customer-relevant access or coordination note. Select the photos. Keep private job and safety records out of the customer view.
Preview available; live sharing plannedA clearer picture of the job
Explore a fictional project. Switch between project work, planned safety records, and a customer preview. Internal observations and incident details stay separate from the update.
Thoughtful details. Practical purpose.
Projects, editable milestones, tasks, notes, and photos belong in one workspace. Track completed checklist items without turning a task count into a promise about schedule or contract completion.
Private project notes, hazard observations, and incident or near-miss records aren’t customer copy. The intended sharing workflow includes only the fields and photos you explicitly select.
Make “what’s next” visible. Planned safety follow-up tasks have an assignee and status, so an observation can lead to a documented next step alongside project tasks.
An iPad-first workspace brings job progress and planned safety documentation together for the contractor. A planned private browser portal gives customers a deliberately selected view.
One project. Two connected responsibilities.
The planned safety workflow belongs beside the project plan—not in a separate pile of paperwork. Capture the observation, identify the next action, and keep its status visible.
Project-specific pre-work safety checklists and jobsite hazard observations, linked to the relevant project. Record context, dates, and selected supporting photos in the private workspace.
Assigned corrective and safety tasks with due dates and status, plus private incident and near-miss reporting. Keep the record and its follow-up together for contractor review.
HandyQuext is planned as an organization and documentation tool. It does not replace professional judgment, jobsite assessment, training, emergency procedures, or required reporting, and it does not certify compliance or guarantee a safe site.
A considered approach to sharing
Private job details and safety records deserve deliberate boundaries.
HandyQuext’s planned publishing flow starts with a deliberate preview. Working notes, hazard observations, corrective-task details, and incident or near-miss reports remain private contractor records. Only an explicitly selected, customer-safe summary belongs in an update.
Safety records, live permissions, invitations, cloud storage, and publishing are planned or still in development.
Where we are today
Project management and project safety share the product direction. The local build establishes project organization; the dedicated safety workflow is planned. HandyQuext is not a publicly released service.
Development features need further hands-on iPad validation.
Safety workflows are planned, not functional native features. No release date is promised.
Good questions.
Have a real-world workflow we should understand? We’d like to hear it.
Small residential painting and remodeling businesses that want project management and project safety in the same workspace. The initial model centers on one contractor owner, with customers eventually viewing selected updates through a private browser portal.
It is a core part of the product direction alongside project management. Planned capabilities include pre-work checklists, hazard observations, assigned corrective or safety tasks, and incident or near-miss reporting. These dedicated safety workflows are not implemented in the current local iPad build; the website shows a fictional concept.
No. A checklist entry, completed task, or recorded review is documentation, not a safety assessment, certification, or guarantee. The product does not provide professional hazard guidance or replace required training, reporting, emergency response, or qualified advice.
Not yet. HandyQuext is a local development app and backend foundation. Public downloads, subscriptions, live accounts, and customer invitations are not available through this website.
The intended customer experience is a free private browser portal. The contractor works on iPad; customers would open their authorized project updates in a browser. The live portal is still planned.
The current development build includes local projects, notes, and photos. Cloud syncing and resumable uploads are future work. Saving locally is different from publishing an update, and the product is designed to make that distinction visible.
No. The intended workflow uses explicit photo selection and a customer preview. Private working notes, safety observations, corrective-task records, and incident or near-miss details are excluded. A contractor may deliberately prepare a separate customer-safe coordination note. Live permissions still require end-to-end validation.
Pricing and limits are still being evaluated. The plan proposes a paid contractor subscription and free customer access. There is no finalized price, unlimited-storage offer, or billing collection on this website.
No. Checklist counts communicate progress through listed tasks, not contractual completion or a guaranteed finish date. Any future “seen” receipt would be a communication indicator, not approval, a signature, or acceptance.
